Rich Sherman is an internationally recognized author and thought leader on trends and issues across supply chain management. He currently serves as a Senior Fellow at the Supply Chain Centre of Excellence for Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)
His book, “Supply Chain Transformation: Practical Roadmap for Best Practice Results” (Wiley, 2012), is considered the go-to playbook for business transformation, earning praise from practitioners, academics, and non-supply chain executives.
Mr. Sherman has served on the working committees for several industry initiatives such as DAMA/Quick Response, Efficient Consumer Response (ECR), and VICS Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment (CPFR).
With a rich client portfolio, Mr. Sherman has successfully developed Enterprise Information Architecture for Colgate-Palmolive, a Supply Chain Systems Architecture for Coors Brewing, and scores of supply chain operations and systems assessments and architectures.
Throughout his career, Mr. Sherman has held senior management positions with visionary technology firms such as EXE, Syncra, and Numetrix; and, market-leading corporations such as Microsoft, Information Resources (IRI), Mercer Management Consulting, Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), and Unisys.
A prolific writer and sought-after speaker, Sherman frequently shares his insights on supply chain trends and models.
In 2023, Mr. Sherman was recognized with a Top 25 Consultants Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to the advancement of the profession and application of leading-edge technologies for digital supply chain management.
He holds a BA and MA from Notre Dame.
